Hey, girl! I'm Mia. I'm a Christ follower, a [pastor's] wife, a mother, a minister, a friend, a creative, a learner...and box full of other lovely and quirky things.

I really, REALLY like to laugh, I love people, I enjoy making things beautiful, expression through the arts does it for me, I'm insatiably curious about God and the way His Kingdom works within our world. I dig watching people use their God-given gifts, and I feel completely alive when I get to use my own. I created this space to get my Deborah on...to rise up as a Mother...in my own neck of the woods (Judges 5:7). I believe healthy homes make a healthier world because the foundation of society is made up of a bunch of individuals who were all formed within a family unit. The family unit is a spectrum-- it looks very different from family to family. From foster homes and group homes to blended family homes and traditional family homes, one of the best ways to strengthen our shaky society is to address the foundation where it's formed-- the family.  And that's what I aim to do here.

Lastly, I dreaded writing this "about me" section because I find it hard to choose what to share and what to leave out. However, it's one of the first places I check out when I'm visiting a new site, and chances are, it's probably one of the first things you read too.

To the right (or below if you're reading from a mobile device) is a picture of me, pregnant, with my family. Because in this past decade, that has been my perpetual state...always pregnant and with them...All. The. Time. Ha!

The struggle is real, but the blessings that follow are even real-er. I love me some them.
